Used in 5 ply 2×8 post applications, the Post Pier PP 528 column has a custom engineered bracket cast in a 5’6” column of 35 mpa concrete. The column is made up of a 5’ high, 8.25” x 7” rectangular column, sitting on top of a 14” diameter, 6” thick bearing pad. The bracket is made up of ¼” steel bent into a saddle with an inside measurement of 7” x which is attached to a ⅜” thick stiffener plate. The stiffener plate contains 4 lengths of 15m rebar welded in place, with 2 of the lengths bent to form hook dowels that run the whole length of the column. The entire unit is pre casted into the mould with a single, continuous pour to ensure the structural integrity of the column. The post to bracket connection is made with 3.5” Simpson Strongtie SDS Screws that are provided with each unit.
Available in 5’6” (Standard), 6’ and 7’ heights.
